Well its finally upon us, our fithieth year of fund raising in the Halifax area for the RNLI.
The branch have decided the best way we can celebrate this is that over the next 12 months we have 50 events and Raise £50,000
The appeal kicked of on the 4th may at the Skipton canal festival where we raised a combined amount of £900, so a great start for our team.
We have a lot to fit in, along side our regular events that we do annually we will be having a gala black tie dinner at the venue in barkisland on November 15th. we are in the process of arranging a golf day and dinner. we also hope to do another sponsored boat pull. the events will finish with a grand family fun day with lots of entertainment, stalls and fun fair. please go to our diary page to see the events we are attending and come along to them if you can.
We would like you to get involved and help us reach our goal, there are a few ways you can help us reach the £50,00 they are.
Attend any of the events we are at buy from our gift shop or a donation into the bucket.
If you are a member of a club or church group who hold coffee mornings to hold a brew for the crew event for us.
if you are the head or teacher at a school to get the pupils involved by making and selling cakes.
If you are a pub or club to hold an event for us ie quiz night or race night or by doing a lifeboat station sweepstake.
